Hi, I’m Markella

I began my journey in photography in 2014, when I first captured the thrill of sports through my lens.

I come from Slovakia and have been living in Cyprus for the last 30 years. My artistic career began with painting and other visual arts, but my need to capture the moment differently led me to photography, which is my great passion.

For more than 12 years, I have been actively involved in the art of photography, with a particular focus on sports and street photography. Through my lens, I try to express unique moments of action. My work has been recognised in local and international competitions, constantly evolving my artistic work.

Photography was the inevitable conclusion of having always interpreted the world artistically. Life exists within a single frame as it happens: unscripted, but full of stories. And so photographs speak for themselves.
